CB Edit in Snapseed - Photo editing tutorial

Hello guys, how are you doing? I guess you guys are doing pretty well today. After me posting dozens of photo editing tutorials on my YouTube channel and also on this website, I'm here with another amazing photo editing tutorial that requires only the Snapseed mobile application to edit with no preset required, just the background file and red png file that can be downloaded below this post. Creating this photo editing concept, which I call the "CB edit in Snapseed," where CB means "Change Background," is a very easy process. I will be using CB most of the time in this post. After reading the instructions in this post, watching the video in this post, and applying the steps given, you can easily apply the same as the edited image below to your photo. I will be discussing the app I used for this editing concept and how I edited the CB edit in Snapseed.

The photo above shows the before and after effects of using the CB edits in snapseed. The non-edited image, which is on the left side of the photo, shows the normal and natural look of the model, while the edited image on the right side shows the enhanced version of the model in the CB effect. The models in the image are both sitting beside a green grass with a blurry background, wearing glasses, and smiling. When you check the color quality of the photo on the left and right sides, you will notice a significant difference. I accept that the non-edited image on the left side is okay—not quite bad—but the enhanced image (edited) on the right side is more perfect and more attractive to me.

What app I used to create this editing

I made use of the mobile Snapseed application for creating the CB edit in snapseed. Snapseed is a very amazing app which you can easily get or download from the Play Store in Android and from Apple Store for iPhone. The snapseed app is one of the apps that is very easy to use, you can check the editing process below in the next paragraph or you can watch the video below on this post and also on my YouTube channel "Timothy Concept".

How I edit the CB edit in Snapseed

Read and follow the instructions below carefully:

  • Download the snapseed mobile app on your phone.
  • Download the background file and also the png file below this post.
  • Open the mobile snapseed app.
  • Then add the photo you want to edit to the app using the add button.
  • After click on the menu bar and select the tune icon and adjust the saturation to "-100" to give it a black and white effect after click on the tick button.
  • Click on the edit stack button and the view edit option.
  • After remove the black and white effect from your model's face you are editing.
  • Select the double exposure tone and add the red png.
  • After select the "subtract" option for the blend option and increase the opacity to around 75% and 85%, once you're done you click on the tick(✔) button.
  • Click on the Edit stack button and again the view edit option to remove the effects of the red png from the model face you are editing.
  • Now to add the background png you also click again on the double exposure icon in the menu bar and import the background file you downloaded earlier.
  • The next step is to click on the Edit stack option and select the view edits to remove the effect of the background from the model face and body
  • So as not to make your photo appear fake, you have to do some color grading.
  • To color grade your photo, select the portraits icon in the menu bar and select "combo 3" and adjust the settings to your preference and click on the tick icon.
  • Now you're done with the editing, all you have to do is to save your image to your photo album.
