Just by looking at the photo above, you can notice the significant difference in both images on the left and right side of the photo. I also carried out an experiment, and I asked my friends to choose which one they preferred between the two images in the photo, and the majority chose the edited image on the right side. As you can see, the image on the left is unedited, looking very sunny, unappealing, and kind of dull, but after applying the editing concept of the realistic moody sky to the image on the right side, you can notice the difference, giving it a mystery and dreamy look.
What app I used to create this editing
As you can see from the title I make use of two mobile applications for this photo editing the first application is the Lightroom and the second one is the Snapseed app. If you're familiar with photo editing space you will notice that these two are some of the best photo editing apps available for mobile devices and they are free to download on the Apple Store if you're an iPhone user, and can also download it on Google Play Store if you're an Android user.
How I Edit the Realistic Moody Sky
Like I said earlier to edit this concept you will need two apps which are the Lightroom application as well as the Snapseed application. Let's get into the whole process:
- Step one, after you have downloaded the apps, also download the preset that I've made available below in this article.
- Step two you open your Lightroom app, and you import the reference photo you want to edit, likewise you also import the preset that you have downloaded below this post.
- You copy the settings of the DNG file or preset file and paste it into the settings of your reference photo, and boom you have your editing done halfway. Save the photo to your photo album or gallery.
- Then you open your Snapseed application and import the photo you just save from the gallery or photo album into the Snapseed app.
- In the Snapseed application click the "tune image" and color grade the image to your taste.
- Next adjusting the vignette to your preferences to give the image a more defined look.
- Next you will add text to the image (optional).
